If there was a catch phrase to emerge among the Superbman crew it was probably this, the oft-repeated line of Rex Ruthor's voluptuous female sidekick Miss Tushmaker. As an acting challenge, Hedda Gabler it ain't, but luckily for us M'Linda McGuire agreed to take the part on. It was a decision with some consequences attached; chief among her memories of making Superbman, she says, is freezing to death between takes in her Miss Tushmaker gown.
M'Linda is far from being the ditzy blonde she was asked to play. Shortly after completing her role in Superbman she became a Graduate Gemologist. After several years in that field, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and merged her gemology experience with her considerable marketing skills to create marketing, communication and sales strategies as a Regional Director for J. Walter Thompson, a top international advertising firm.
For more than 10 years, M’Linda has implemented successful national marketing, branding and sales campaigns. She currently has her own marketing consulting firm, Image Consulting.
In 2006, M'Linda completed her Master's degree in Counseling at St. Edward's University in Austin. She is currently interning in that field and hopes to hang out her shingle as a counselor in a couple of years.
An avid rider, she lives on a "hobby farm" in Texas with her horse and other animals.
